Dude's plan was actually pretty good. Two downsides:
1. He didn't eat tendo ASAP, giving Boruto a chance
2. I think Konoha would know somethings up and would only be temporary. Just like the Hidden Mist, the Hidden Leaf isn't completely blind to the Feudal Lords.

Where the hell is Konohamaru though? Shouldn't he still be team Captain for B-rank mission?! I agree they are ready, but not without their Captain!!!

I'm not expecting much from this fight. Past some Boruto struggle since outnumbered, the ninja themselves are kinda weak.

The gang boss looks like the guy who took Sasuke back in the Naruto series, the one Choji fought in the rock battle. They changed the hair from orange to green and made him older and fatter, but still guy.

Since they didn't show his death, this fool probably thought that he was still alive or something; probably believes whatever he sees on the News too.

Can't blame him. Law of anime dictates that there's a nonzero chance of a character being alive when no body is shown, and a greater than zero percent of still having a comeback when there is a body.
